On November 9 2019 Indigenous teenager Kumanjayi Walker was fatally shot by Constable Zachary Rolfe in Yuendumu around 300km north-west of Alice Springs. Constable Rolfe said he viewed Kumanjayi Walker as a threat to Constable Eberl even after hed been shot three times saying the deceased continued to resist arrest while being handcuffed.

This morning NT Chief Minister Michael Gunner urged people to let the justice system do its job. He appeared at Court last week in Darwin Australia under the 19 years old mans murder charges and the Supreme Court of the Northern Territorys jury cleared of all charges.
